I definitely think Same Situation could describe Beatty. I particularly remember reading an article about Beatty years ago where the author kept describing him taking phone calls incessantly (the ringing telephone) throughout their interview. I also recall him being generally regarded as a narcissist in his younger days (Room full of mirrors) and (You're So Vain). Well, he WAS awful pretty back then ;-)
