It was Ani's first tour here and she really shook up the folkie crowd, with many walking out disgusted (mostly at Ani's language onstage). Each time she cursed, more people would leave the tent, enabling delighted fans to get closer to the stage. I thought it was most amusing that Ani was happy to endure the difficulties of re-tuning her guitar, and could justify the agonies of doing so, based on having seen Joni go through the same agony with her own tunings. -Gerald
