Yes, but then again it could be argued that "American" music *is* the music 
of the entire world. American music has influences from everywhere, whereas 
much of the music from "the rest of the world" is the product of cultures 
with far less outside influence. 

I don't think this figure means that the entire US is listening solely to 
Britney and the boy bands.
