In this case and in the case of any line from a Joni lyric, I would 
recommend an entry into the 'Glossary' section of the site at 
http://www.jmdl.com/glossary .  This is a section I've been trying to 
develop for a few years now but it's been very slow going.  I'd love to 
have a volunteer take the ball and run with this one!
