Boomerang Love (c)2002 Victor Johnson

I miss that part of you,
That knows that part of me,
Nobody else can see.
When I sit and talk with you,
I know that I can be,
Completely here, you and me.
It's no big mystery,
Why they still fail to see,
How I've touched you deep inside.
You've got to let the power of love,
Know what you're thinking of,
You've got to let yourself enjoy the ride.

How can you know that you are happy?
If you've never been sad.
If you never get lost,
How can you ever be found?
All the love you give away,
It will come back around.

Well I just had to get away,
So I flew across the Hudson river,
Just to see what I might find.
And every street seemed strange to me,
But they all seemed familiar,
I just let the pictures fill my mind.
Then I began to realize,
How I missed your soft brown eyes,
The little curve on your back.
The way you laugh and smile at me,
They way you close your eyes and see,
All the colors hidden in the black.

How can you know that you are happy,
If you've never been sad?
If you never get lost,
How can you ever be found?
All the love you give away,
It will come back around.

I miss that part of you,
That knows that part of me,
Nobody else can see.
