In case ya'll don't know . . . There is a benefit concert this Saturday, August 31 for Fairmont High School Preservation Fund. The high school that James Dean went to, learned to act at, is in Indiana, and the preservationists for it are producing a concert to benefit it, this Saturday evening, in Muncie Indiana on the campus of Ball State University, at the Emens Auditorium (http://web.bsu.edu/emens/upcoming_events.htm) and .. although the website doesn't indicate as such, the concert is being given by The McGarrigle Sisters, Kate and Anna, as well as Rufus, Martha, and the 'band', including Jeff Hill, and Teddy Thompson (you know...Linda and Richard's son... - Linda's new CD, "Fashionably Late" is stupendous, warranting its own post) - (we're hoping since Linda is about to kick off her own US tour with Teddy ..she might show up too, as well as Loudon, - and hey! where's Richard? to complete the 'folk dynasty'!) A 7 piece string orchestra will be backing them up, as well. Sound like fun? Come one, come all! Tickets are still available thru Ticketmaster http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/779510
