it's not joni, it's probably joy askew, of echo.  many of us here in new
york are huge fans of hers, she sang at joni's jazz in central park, july 1,
99.

echo is her newest band, with a first album out sep 10.  i was looking at
her site today and a lot of the current photos do show a resemblance to
joni.  check out the cd cover here.

she's got a couple of local dates coming up, i hope to hear her again soon.
i've seen her about 6 or seven times.  she was one of kay ashley's voice
teachers; actually kay and i met at a joy askew show.  highly recommended
artist
