I've always believed I WOULD see this in my lifetime, although I 
thought it would happen in my old age rather than my middle age.  I 
guess if it's to happen, being middle-aged is better since I can still 
RUN across the border, at least for the time being.  (Atwood's "A 
Handmaid's Tale" plays over and over in my mind.)

It is, yet we still had shitty voter turnout just two weeks ago.  
People are so complacent; they just don't get it.
