Just a footnote to Lama's list, I'd add The JM Companion, edited by Stacey Luftig (Schirmer Books, NY 2000). This 286-page book has lots of great articles about Joni's work over the years and some interviews with Joni. I found this to be a much more informative read than Shadows and Light. Go for it!
