exactly fred, additionally i feel that the dirge like new version is in a sense a funeral for all those hopeful ideals so many of us had back then...not that there still isn't room for hope but in the wake of woodstock there was a tremendous surge of inspired hope that 'we' could change the world & now all these years later, at this particular point in time, it sure doesn't look as hopeful...
