(And Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart are big Joni fans.) I have a friend who used to be the road manager for Heart. He once told me that Ann (or maybe it was Nancy) told him that she saw Joni backstage at the Grammys and wanted to approach her, but was too star-struck and in awe of Joni to do it.
