I agree with you on  both points, although I think you are referring to the
"ohoh" after "between the forceps and the stone."?  (BTW, this is one of my
favorite lines of JM.  What a wonderful way of describing life falling
between birth and death)  This was the moan I have loved since hearing it on
the web.
