In Karen O'Brien's book, Shadows & Light, the author writes on page 153, "Rock trivia misconceptions 1: In 1975 Rolling Stone named The Hissing of Summer Lawns the worst album of the year. Wrong. It was branded the worst album title of the year. But the former interpretation has become part of the accepted wisdom about Joni Mitchell's work and is oft-repeated in articles about her."
