And I do too...which is why it would be one of top ten "fly on the wall" picks. I know 
from listening to recordings that she makes changes even after she gets her songs to 
performance level.

Well, maybe we should start an "old & burnt out" discussion list! :~) I've had great 
ideas pop into my head (usually while I'm running) for a song lyric, a short story, a 
play...but when I try to recall them they're gone.

Funny you mention Dinah...I'm doing a favor for the Mom of one of our best friends in 
town. When I told her I could burn CD's from LP's she asked if she could send me some 
of her favorites, and of course, not knowing HOW to say the "n" word, I said "yes". 
Dreading a box full of Dean Martin & Mantovani records, or worse, country music (she 
lives in rural West Virginia), I was extremely delighted to find the box full of 
obscure Brook Benton & Dinah Washington records, as well as the Rooftop Singers ("Walk 
Right In") which I also found to be pretty cool. 
To add some JC, I was reading the liner notes to the Rooftop Singers LP, which was 
issued by Vanguard who also had Buffy Sainte-Marie & Joan Baez in their stable and who 
courted Joni, but she turned them down as they were demanding 2-3 records a year! 
Maybe if she had signed with them, at least at first, all those early songs would have 
been released!
