I think sailing and golf are like a lot of sports - they're no fun if you don't understand them. People say the same thing about watching cricket, but if you understand the game it becomes a lot more interesting. And having been out on the course a few times, watching the sailing close up (by close up I mean when these huge boats pass by only 20-30m away), it IS very exciting! Since they don't have anywhere at home close by, and they've got their "camp" set up here as challengers it does make some sense. Having a Kiwi skipper probably helps as well! Of course they have to win it first, and obviously I'm hoping Team NZ retains the America's cup for a record third challenge!
