"The Drifters"-James Michener

  I was looking through,(I haven't read the book) "The Drifters"
(from 1971),by James Michener,and I found a Joni referance.The narrator 
talked about the song "Michael from mountains" being one of the most 
beautiful songs he ever heard ,as good as a song by Schubert.he said the 
woman who sang the song sounded like an angel.I suppose he could be talking 
about Judy Collins' version,but I'll assume he meant Joni.
