Of the above that I've listed, in my opinion Lakota is the only one that holds a candle to Mitchell's own compositions. Joni herself stated that their writing styles were not compatible, and I don't think it's any small coincidence that NRH, hailed by many as a return to form after the abysmal CMIARS, trimmed the Klein compositions down to one, arguably the weakest track on the record.
