In response to this song -I had an Old English Sheepdog named "Mings Magic Dance" taken from the song. How I came to this name was that in Dec. 1992 I found out that I had full blown Aids T-cell of 38, not good. The DR. told me that I needed to focus on a reason to be here, I had a female Old English named "Big Molly Ming" after "Molly Mc Gee" I decide to get a new puppy so I would have a reason to get out of bed. He was my new solo, It was my "Dance." Sadly Magic passed in April of 2002, I would have never thought that I would outlive him, but we move in measures... Molly passed late May, 5 weeks after Magic. My name being Mingus I always felt a special bond to Joni releasing "Mingus." I also came up with this E-mail address MINGSDANCE for the fact that this is my dance. At a time when I was really at a low point my best friend Jimmy Stewart, knowing how much I always had loved Joni, started copying the entire homepage for me and he would drop off a new tidbit every day, he even completed it with a fine white notebook to store my new treasures. After much labor of copying one day he appeared like an Angel with a computer from his office for me, we spent the day signing me up to the JMDL, putting all Joni things in "My favorite places," since I was computer challenged it would easy for me to access without him here. As they say the rest is history. I started writing Wally Breeze and before you know it I was photographing Joni's 55th birthday concert with Jimmy. Because of this list and the people I've met I'm still here! I still have a reason to be here on this planet and I thank all of you for that. By the way my favorite album/song "Hejira"...
