What you've got is a wonderful recording from the BBC broadcast of the program "Joni Mitchell Sings Joni Mitchell", sometimes referred to as the "Pink Dress" concert. The broadcast date was Oct 9, 1970. I assume the venue would have been one of the BBC broadcast studios. The show is also available on video, and it looks like a TV studio; very intimate.
