My favorite pitiful grammies moment was when the lead singer of Limp Bizcit,Mr. Durst (of Limp Bizkit, with a "k,") was quoted in a newspaper article -- probably from the Associated Press -- as "I hope we are all in agreeance (sic) ... ."
Fred Durst (I can't believe I know his name) said " I hope we are all in
AGREENESS" about this war thing or being against the war. I cannot stand it
when entertainers make political statements on awards shows. Why would
anyone care about what this idiot had to say? He wasn't even accepting an
award but presenting one. But he actually said "agreeness" instead of
"agreement". I was on the phone with my friend, Rob, from TX, and we just
howled. Not only is he so arrogant and self righteous, but stupid, and I
would bet a year's salary he doesn't know one thing about the issues.
