Here's a review of the Joni bio from this morning's Globe and Mail by John
Doyle.

Life & Times: Joni Mitchell (CBC, 7 p.m.) is the big Canadian deal. A
wonderfully rich and detailed study of Mitchell's life and music, it's way
better than the usual Life & Times quickie biography. A two-parter (part two
airs next week), it will later be seen on PBS as an American Masters
special. Mind you, she is Canadian.
It's a richly detailed assessment of Mitchell, with a lot of marvellous
footage from Canadian TV over the years. Best of all, it has many interviews
with fellow musicians who assess her honestly and, sometimes, ruefully.
Mitchell herself is an utterly beguiling figure, sharp, witty and
self-deprecating.
