Hello, Wallyworlders! Plans have changed for this coming Sunday's brunch with the Birthday Fairy because my first choice -- Johnny D's in Somerville -- does not take reservations. :-(
Culinary Queen Maggie, who has lots of experience in events planning and loves to eat, has recommended that we convene at Sidney's Grille in The Hotel at MIT, which is at 20 Sidney St. in Central Square, Cambridge, 617-494-0011. (I have cut and pasted their brunch menu below.) Fact is, Sidney's may be a better place to get together than Johnny D's because Sidney's does not feature a jazz brunch, so there won't be any loud music that will get in the way of our boisterous conversations. I hope this change meets with everyone's approval. Please let me know by tomorrow morning if you're planning to attend and if you are bringing a guest or two and then I will make reservations with our final head count. I think we should plan to be there and ready to be seated at noon because that will give us a couple of hours to linger over brunch -- and Wally! -- before the restaurant closes. A-OK?
