She's still scheduled at the Hollywood Bowl in August to sing with Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock and here's something from (her sometime trumpeter) Mark Isham's latest newsletter that sounds intriguing: "I've started writing songs for my next album, which will be my first on Arista Records. For this project I've invited an amazing roster of female singer/songwriters to join me in creating a collection of duets. I'm having a great time crafting a variety of songs for these women's unique voices." Hope springs eternal ;-) Kakki P.S.
