chiming in on this topic- i like one or two songs pretty well, she is beautiful & i do love her voice...
but as an album? b o r i n g (probably not her fault) i impulse bought it due to her early buzz & because borders had a slew of them for $12 near the check out stand- good promotion idea... since she won the grammy's i have been to two parties where her album is playing & people are raving about it as the best new thing & all i can think of is the emperor has no clothes...getting so many grammy's makes just makes it worse but this is not her fault either... its all about promotion as far as i'm concerned- otherwise jonatha brooke or patty griffin would be taking home all those grammy's (well technically not jonatha this year but patty was nominated)... (oh, perhaps they are too old for all the accolades now) ... this is made all the more evident when watching woh&m & joni with so much talent & incredible songs at the jumpstart of her career... i guess i sound like one of those old people longing for the good old days... kate www.katebennett.com
