I have invested some time into jOOQ and have figured out that my first 
point isn't really an issue. It's even very handy when you are using the ID 
generation from your database. In my case I don't set the id property and 
when I run the CRUD insert "magically" I have the id inside my customer 
object. What is very handy when I have inserted a customer and at next the 
related contacts. So I don't have to load the ID in a separate statement.


Obviously does the select statement this "magic".
