Thank you very much for your message. Spring Boot depends on the jOOQ Open Source Edition by default (Maven groupId "org.jooq"). In order to use a commercial distribution, you have to exclude Spring Boot's jOOQ dependency from yours, and add the commercial distribution (Maven groupId "org.jooq.trial" in this case) explicitly to your classpath.
