It was a day to remember even though we were more interested in seeing our friends in FGC than watch the match. Meanwhile, I question your reason for singling out Bukky as 'our pride in the 100 meters sprinting dash'. Yes, she was good but we also remember dat your interest in Bukky in those days went beyond the sprinting. I still remember how you use appeal to us (ur close buddies) to wait cheer her at the finish line. Abi class of 92, una no remember Yemi Bukky, our prefect couple. I wish i could still sprint but i have graciously left that to my children. Greetings to all 92 set i hail una o ! NMS, for real, gave Command Jos a stiff challenge especially in Football, Sprinting was a different case altogether cos the best sprinters are from Command Jos at all time. From 1993-1999, we played with NMS five times (it was like a ritual those days for them to come and play with us anytime they come for their Bush Camp in Sheril Hills, beside Command Jos - this is the meeting i am talking about, i am not refering to other times we met at maybe Inter-Command Games or any other tournament). We won Once, drew twice or so, and lost twice. But the loses were not without very stiff competition (they won with a lone goal against 1994 set in a very good tournament that could have gone either way). There was also a time they gave us 4-1 though! But as for Airforce Military School , that is a Ghost story. If Airforce ever beat us at all (i mean both in football and sprinting), it is a luck which they will celebrate for a whole month! Although i used to be kind of impressed to see their ladies in Military uniforms back then, in terms of activities Airforce is just like the other schools in Jos. ________________________________ From: Zoe Mukoro-Dibie <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, September 3, 2010 1:06:12 PM Subject: Re: [Jos Commandos] Commandant and sports tournaments Thanks, lol Your a gem! ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, September 3, 2010 2:02:14 PM Subject: Re: [Jos Commandos] Commandant and sports tournaments The commandant after Mr Ligali was Col Ayolaa.before 84 nobody could beat us.but not sure after I left.so airforce sef don dey make mouth!!!! Also, a work colleague of mine from Air force sch in Jos mentioned we ie Command use to be trashed at football tournaments by Air force sch! I know we were good at our intersch sport tournaments but can’t remember if there was a sch by that name! Anyway, can someone help me out of my miseries! ThanksEloho
