Dear COJOSA Family....wow what an eventful day we all had at our Family Fun day
in the park...really there are no words to describe the nostalgia of the days
event....but one thing, we think, that has to be said is the event really
brought out the youth in us....being with and reuniting with people we grew up
with for at least 5 years or more under the same roof and the same place!
The feeling was awesome, not to talk of seeing classmates (both seniors and
juniors) that you haven't seen for over donkey of years even though you were
best of friends one way or the other. We also were honoured by the attendance
of Senior Donatius Ejiofor of the class of 83 set, the second set to graduate
from Command Jos and the respectable Senior Saidu Basharu of the class of 87
set, who came as the representative of the Lagos Nigeria COJOSA chapter. What
else could we ask for!
We also want to show appreciation to those who contributed by words to the
COJOSA UK-IRL `s first brochures, Victor Okhai of the 82 Pioneering Set, to
quote something he said `Once a commando, Always a commando', Ugo –Ben Nwauzor,
also of the pioneering set class of 82 and memeber of the COJOSA North America,
Gloria Kude-Chunu a female ex-cssj student of the 83 set, the president of the
Lagos Chapter, Saleh Barka of 86 set, and Adam Sagai of the 86 set also the
coordinator of the COJOSA Abuja chapter, and whom have all contributed in one
way or the other to bringing us all together again via the various COJOSA
chapters and also to mention other repectable proactive COJOSA representatives
such as John Akadang of the 88 set. The brochures are still available; please
send an email to [email protected] to request for one.
The feedback have been very encouraging, Kofo, Ngozi , Gboye , Dayo , Zoe and
Jason who were the organisers feel very appreciated by you, by saying we
pulled this off to your very satisfactory level, as one member, who attended,
has quoted `it was a fantastic event'. This is very encouraging and we really
don't mind making this happen again, for us. The only thing is, that, if we can
have a bit more support from you to make our next one an even bigger and an
even more successful event.
We now would like to announce there will be a general meeting this month end in
August for us, Command Secondary School Students (EX-CSSJ) in London, and we
are putting it across to you to choose a date and time in August that will be
convenient for yourselves. If you like we can plan the date and time and maybe
we can all go for a dinner after the meeting, just to mingle and gist for an
hour or two.
We chose this August so as to definitely keep up the tempo building and of
course we also said we would like COJOSA UK-IRL to have an `EVENING BALL' in
November this year of 2011 here in the UK. The intention of the general meeting
is to also give us the opportunity to discuss this and any other important
affairs further.
Lastly, but not least a `BIG THANK YOU' to YOU, from us organisers, for also
making our Family Fun Day in the park a successful event! It was our very first
and we have all made ourselves very proud. Those who missed for one reason or
the other you have REALLY MISSED! Just make sure you attend the next one.. the
next Stop for now is the COJOSA North America Convention in October, so the
nostalgia continues............! !!
P.S... We featured in the last two edition of the Trumpet Newspaper (UK) and
Watch Out for the FAMILY FUN DAY EVENT VIDEO and the next edition of the
Trumpet (UK)...Coming out SOON!!!!

Thanking you all,

LONG LIVE COJOSA!!!!!
LONG LIVE COJOS UK-IRL!!!!!
On behalf of COJOSA UK-IRL CIC Trust.
