The presentation can also be found via the website created by our UK-IRL chapter and also in our facebook group. www.commandjos.net A general run down on happenings with the chapter was made and plans as regards outstanding works needed to be done. 17m/Set Intervention fund 1. The presentation on the state of our old school raised several questions and emotions to how such degeneration was allowed to have happened; to refresh our minds; there is no working laboratory in CSSJ. No working physics lab, no working chemistry lab, redundant biology lab, Home Economics lab has collapsed. The hostels all have their ceilings in bad shape. The toilets are in a mess. 2. The following sets have already seen appreciable contributions from their members; 86 and 88. 3. Some members do not yet know their set coordinators. Set coordinators can please log unto our official website created by the UK/IRL team and see list of your mates (www.commandjos.net). Please try and reach your mates 4. The UK/IRL and Lagos chapter drew up a special account for the fund raising and which will be inherited later by COJOSA. An account via First Bank is being opened, the account will have sub accounts which will be allocated to each sets starting from 82. The account details will be made public. Monies can be remitted to this account and will be handed over to the Fund raising working committee to manage. For any set that do not yet have a set coordinator or do not have a viable account to lodge their monies, this account can be used to deposit monies and it will be lodged based on names and your set, which will make it easy for the working committee to publish depositors names by name/set. Do you know your set Cordinator 83 Mick Agana 84 Taiwo Babayeju 85 Gabriel Bigwan 86 Barka Saleh 88 Tope Ojo 92 Taiwo Akinosho 93 Ibrahim Kadiri 94 Teejay Olaleke 95 Dayo Adeyemi Others, please send your nominated coordinator’s names to Adams John/Kofo or myself Proposed Documentary on the state of CSSJ (Project CSSJ) Our dear Vivian Akinyosoye and Ariyike Oladapo were requested to organize a VIDEO documentary on the state of our school. While this plan is on ground, the house came up with other options which is using what the UK/IRL chapter have come up with; a sound and motion overlay on the pictures taken by the presidents/Vice visits to CSSJ. It is hoped that this will be used to communicate with the authorities in Army Education on the dilapidated state of our school to get their buy in during our proposed planned meeting them. It is also hoped that this will be used during the year end party when invited guest including authorities and past Commandants will be in attendance Proposed Global COJOSA A presentation was made to the house to educate us on the workability and model of the proposed structure Election The house was informed that the present official seat is now open for a new EXCO and to prepare for new Executives. The house generally requested for the past Executives to continue in view of the INTERVETION program. That once we are done with this main project, we can move for new executives. The house was however reminded of the challenges the EXCO have had; commitment on the part of the general members was very poor, the EXCO have in many cases beared the financial brunt of running the association from the Lagos end though with support from very few members who have helped when called upon. This has not been encouraging. If this call is to be heeded, then better commitments will have to be shown by members. Let it start with paying DUES….Shikena !!! However, following due process, the constitution will be followed, with election being planned for in the December end of year party. End of year party/Organization The event planner Ajibola (Sponsored by Harold Nwariaku), made a presentation on a proposed scope for the party. End of year party is being planned for this 3rd of December. The house will meet in 2weeks to take a decision and make plans for this. Dues Please be reminded about your dues, its 5,000K.
