Thanks for your WGLC feedback, Oliver. A different response already describes
that Ed25519 and Ed448 are now COSE Recommended “yes”.

The COSE Brainpool algorithms now will be registered by
https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-ietf-jose-fully-specified-algorithms-03.html#name-elliptic-curve-digital-sign.

                                                                Thanks again,
                                                                -- Mike

I reviewed the document and I support publication of the document after the
following two changes were considered:

1. Change recommendation for Ed25519/Ed448 to "yes"; because I think it is
useful but moreover for consistency reasons with the IANA COSE algorithm
registry where EdDSA is recommended, Ed448 and Ed25519 curves are recommended
already as well.

2. Register COSE algorithm identifiers for ECDSA w/ brainpool curves since
deprecating ES256/384/512 would give brainpool implementers no other option
(that is not deprecated) to use them with COSE anymore. Note that brainpool
curves are registered in the IANA COSE elliptic curves registry already.

Name: ESB256
Description: ECDSA using Brainpool256r1 with SHA-256
Recommended: No

Name: ESB320
Description: ECDSA using Brainpool320r1 with SHA-384
Recommended: No

Name: ESB384
Description: ECDSA using Brainpool384r1 with SHA-384
Recommended: No

Name: ESB512
Description: ECDSA using Brainpool512r1 with SHA-512
Recommended: No
