https://github.com/ietf-wg-jose/draft-ietf-jose-hpke-encrypt/pull/83 defines
the "HPKE Integrated Encryption" and "HPKE Key Encryption" Key Management Modes
and integrates their treatment into the encryption and description instructions
in JWE, applying the guidance given to us during working group last call and at
IETF 123. This was surprisingly simple to do.
Doing so also enabled me to delete HPKE-specific steps for encryption and
description from the JOSE HPKE draft, further simplifying it. Instead, with
this PR, the HPKE Key Management Modes use the same encryption and decryption
instructions as all other JWE key management modes.
I will discuss this at the JOSE meeting in the morning.
My apologies for taking so long to do this. If I'd known it was going to be
this easy, I would have done it months ago.
