Well, yes, I very much like Felis' logo, which Diamond's design misses
(btw, Felis is Alexander, and Diamond is Ilya). But Diamond's image
looks warmer and more... human, though not as specific as Felis's. And
not as modern as his animated banner.
Also I don't like capitalization in Felis' work: it should be "Java
OpenStreetMap Editor".
I'd choose logo and gray vertical banner from Felis, and probably
"Clear" variant of Diamond's. Then I'd substitute gray background of the
vertical banner with a deep blue paper background from Diamond's banner,
skipping the map, and altering logo colors appropriately.

the dark version has less saturation in the colors.
I actually really like the design idea by Felis Pimeja to make a pencil
out of the J, while Diamond00744 had this compelling idea of leaving
traces of the (java) coffee cup (on the banners). That'll be a hard
decision...
