This issue is discussed there:

Can we ask them to switch to an accepted certificate? I mean JOSM is not a
small part of the OSM community and I assume osm.org has enough money to
spend it for a proper certificate. Or they use the same approach as we do for
josm.openstreetmap.de?
I added a comment there. Let's see what they say.
Well, we use a lot:
* api.openstreetmap.org
* www.openstreetmap.org
* wiki.openstreetmap.org
* nominatim.openstreetmap.org
* trac.openstreetmap.org (indirect)
* taginfo.openstreetmap.org
* (abc).tile.openstreetmap.org
* svn.openstreetmap.org (download, http only ATM)
Forgot something?
Ciao
