It is the principle Satan employs to great effect in weakening Christians by causing them to obsess over less important things (it hardly matters what) in order to get them to reject the main thing, which is "the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:3). Once divided, individual Christians are then sitting ducks for further assaults by the Enemy. But united in the Holy Spirit, two or three believers can form a cord strong enough to hold Heaven and earth together.
