Dear Joynetters,
I would like to share what Mary, the Mother of God is for me and has done for me in my
life.
When I was nineteen years old (I'm now 26) I went through an extremely difficult
depression. I was barely able to function as a person because of this depression.
During this time, a friend of mine said that God gave her a vision. She said that she
saw me in complete darkness and above me the Holy Spirit was hovering. He also said
that she saw an image of Mary holding Jesus after he had been taken down from the
cross. But it was not Jesus she was holding but it was me and my friend said that
Mary was crying out to God the Father on my behalf.
At this time in my life I was not able to ponder on the depth of love that Mary has
for me and for all people. Now I have come to a place in my life where I understand.
Mary, even though she is not God, truly and perfectly reflects the holiness and love
of God. She expecially reflects the tenderness and love of God.
I was pondering today on Mary. I said to the Lord, "Thank you so much for Mary.
Because of her 'yes' I am able to know of your love and goodness and live in
friendship with You."
I love Mary. She loved me when I thought I was unlovable.
I love Mary. She prayed for me when it was impossible for me to pray for myself.
I love Mary. She leads me to Jesus in Whom there is salvation.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and
blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners. Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
