I just read a book today titled"Purity is Power" by Dr. Don Gossett and one of
the things he has written really I think is a weapon which I think we can use
to counter the lies the Devil whispers slowly in our minds when we are
attacked by temptation to fall into the sins of Masturbation,Adultery and
Fornication.
These thoughts usually come into our minds, the word of god weapon to counter
these is also given.
1."I give up,I can't stay pure"
Answer:I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Phil 4:13
2." I am afraid I will fall into sin "
Answer:God has not given me the spirit of fear,but of Power and of love
and of a sound mind 2 Tim 1:7
3."I am too weak"
Answer:The lord is the strength of my life Ps 27:1
4."Filthy unclean thoughts are fighting for and controlling my mind"
Answer: I declare with Jesus - For the prince of this world comes and has
no part in me. Jn14:30
5."I am failing again and again in my fight to stay pure.I'm a failure,there's
no use trying.....
Answer:God always causes me to triumph through Christ. 2 Cor 2:14
6."I am a slave to bad thoughts that cause sin
Answer:Where the spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty. 2 Cor 3:17
