Dear friends in Jesus Christ,
At first when I saw some of the mails regarding
vastushastra in Joynet I was very sad. The
discussion started on a doubt...that is whether
vastushastra is against Christian faith or not(I
would rather read Catholic faith, because there are
some difference between Christian faith and catholic
faith). There were some quick answers too. Many of you
have already commented on
this subject and I would like to add some more from a
wider perceptive.
Do not oppose anything by blindly saying it is Hindu
way of life or it
comes from Hindu tradition etc. But oppose things if
they are against
Bible & Catholic faith. As we know the discussion
about 'vastushastra' comes under the 1st commandment,
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the
land of Egypt,
out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other
gods before me.
You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or
any likeness of
anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the
earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth;
you shall not bow down to them or serve them
In the explanation to this commandment the church
teach us as follows:
2115 God can reveal the future to his prophets or to
other saints.
Still, a sound Christian attitude consists in putting
oneself confidently
into the hands of Providence for whatever concerns
the future, and
giving up all unhealthy curiosity about it.
Improvidence, however, can constitute a lack of
responsibility.
2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected:
recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or
other practices
falsely supposed to "unveil" the future.48 Consulting
horoscopes,
astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and
lots, the phenomena
of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal
a desire for power
over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other
human beings,
as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They
contradict the
honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God
alone.
2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one
attempts to tame
occult powers, so as to place them at one's service
and have a supernatural power over others - even if
this were for the sake of restoring their health -
are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion.
These practices are even more to be condemned when
accompanied by the
intention of harming someone, or when they have
recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing
charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies
divination or magical practices; the Church for her
part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to
so-called traditional cures does not justify either
the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of
another's credulity.
(Catechism of catholic church, Part 3, Section 2,
Article 1)
As per hindu belief
Vastu, one's house, always occupies a special place
in one's life.
But only a few people know that the Vastupurusha,
the deity of the house, determines the fate of the
inmates of the house. If not adequately
propitiated, the Vastupurusha becomes angry and the
occupants suffer beyond description.
The following link will give you more information:

These things are 101 % against catholic faith no
doubt about that.
From the scientific point of view, Vastushastra is an
ancient indian science
dealing with construction technology and techniques
for building environment
friendly dwellings which are in harmony with nature,
surrounding environment,
cosmic energy, gravitational forces, electromagnetic
waves and the universe.
Vastushastra can be defined as harmonious,
proportionate, and positive interaction
of all the matters encompassing human life.
Vastushastra offers adequate
representation to all factors governing life to
create, in a sense , harmonious
and melodious music in human dimension. Artisitic
viewpoint and aesthetic
outlook are essential ingredients of vastushastra.
Vastushastra can be explained
in terms of constructive or destructive combination
of the various oscillatory fields.

This site will give you scientific explanantions for
each and every
thing mentioned in vastushastra.
For example take the case of sleeping position. It
has relationship
between the two energy fields solar energy flux and
geometrical
energy flux.
So there is nothing wrong in following vasthushastra
as a science
and I think catholic church also supports it because
all of our
ancient church buildings are build according to this
shastra only.
I was going through some of the mails in joynet, it
looks like
readers are very much worried about the presence of
'vasthu' in
vasthushastra. It's quite natural. But you have seen
only from one
view point..ie hindu tradition. But from a wider
perspective I
would define vasthu as 'the reflection of love and
affection between
a man and his abode'. The reason is all the hindu
tradition(including vasthushastra) are
based on the 4 vedas, namely Rigveda, Yajurveda,
Samaveda, and
the Adharva Veda A book wriiten by Br. Aravindaksha
Menon, A hindu by birth and a
catholic by faith and now serves the Lord in divine
retreat center muringoor
proves all the vedas finally points to JESUS CHRIST,
THE UNIQUE WORD OF SACRED SCRIPTURE
(For his testimoney plese visit
http://www.prayergroup.net/menon1.htm, there was an
online version
of the fill book, I'll try to find it out)
In this testimony Mr. Menon says
Every ancient scripture was one and the same.
Hindus, Christians and Islam were
all categorized later, all man made. The word of God
was one,
because God is only one. If God only one how can the
Son God be several? It is also one.
Yes my dear friends there can be only one God above
all and he is
our loving Lord Jesus.
All these ancient scriptures (Bible, Vedas and all)
wriiten long
long time back and it was written by considering the
knoledge level
of people of that age. So you can not follow them
blintly including
bible. Here I'm foreseeing a complaint, I'm not
equating bible to
Vedas...do not think like that.
Let me conclude by giving an example from my own
personal life:
9 years back when we started the construction of our
new hose in
the native place, we consulted a person who's an
expert is
vasthusastra. At that time I was in 12 std. This guy
has pointed the
location for the house as per their theory or
whatever it is. But
in left corner of the new house there is a well. This
is nearly 50
yrs old and we are using it for drinking water. This
guy asked my
father to cover it permanently. The reason he quoted
was there is a
chance for accidental death. He also given some
suitable dates for
starting construction :-). But we started the
construction on the
first friday/saturday (I'm not sure) of the month in
the presence of
our parish priest. We haven't covered the well till
now and still
using it for drinking water. I remember the answer my
father given
to that person...If I'm with god and loves him why
should I fear
about the future of my family....Yes my dear friends
we started that
construction without having any bank balance...we
were in debt at
that time. But we never faced any obstruction during
the construction. Even though it took nearly 3 years
form competion, today our house is the beautiful one
in that area. We call it Aradhana as a thanksgiving
measure. God
has given a lot of blessings after that. The first
blessing came
in the form of a chappel. Now a chappel of st. antony
who's our
family patron situates in the right side of our house.
In the left side that
well which gives drinking water for the past 50 yrs.
There are many many
blessings....I can't count them.
So friends there is nothing wrong in following
vasthushastra as a
science. But use your wisdom (it's the gift of holy
spirit) before
accepting it's findings. If you accept the
vasthushastra findings
based on superstitions, you are acting against the
first
Commandment.
The word of God says:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God,
and the Word was God.He was in the beginning with
God;
all things were made through him, and without him
was not anything
made that was made.(John 1:1-3)
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold,
it was very
good.(Genesis 1:31)
So God creates everything in this world and they are
all good.
It's depends on the person who's using them makes it
good or bad
So first accept Lord Jesus as your God and savior.
With his help
make your selection. It will be the right one.
Thanks for your patient reading. May God Bless you
all
