Seemed to work fine when I checked, the fx duration was short. I retried with 5000 and the problem became clear.
Fixed at: http://dev.jquery.com/changeset/6116 Wasn't necessary but as I stopped relying on (and null'ing) jQuery.timerId, I simply made it a local var.
