Not to be a spoil sport but is there a greater issue here? Namely,
that we have an official release wherein a chunk of fundamental
behavior fails in a common scenario? Is jQuery riddled with bugs in
less traveled areas we don't know about? I seriously doubt that is the
case, but a little bit of muckracking to spotlight the importance of
dependable regression tests can be healthy. Kudos on getting this
fixed so rapidly.
