Looking at the example I suspect that it's due to some sort of weird styling/CSS issue in IE. I'll have to investigate more in order to determine exactly what the set of circumstances is that causes the issue. I'll try to check in on it again before 1.4 and provide a definitive answer one way or another - unless someone is able to do so before I get back to it.
