It doesn't seem that it matters whether or not Outlook adds the RE: in
front of [jQuery] because Google Groups seems to strip it off anyway.
For example, your email's subject (that I'm replying to) was "[jQuery]
Re: Something that bugs me about the google groups messages..." and now
that I'm replying it is "RE: [jQuery] Re: Something that bugs me about
the google groups messages...". But when I submit the message it will
come back as "[jQuery] Re: Something that bugs me about the google
groups messages..." (no prepended RE:).

I think this just comes down to Outlook not properly following the email
headers to construct a proper conversation.
