I also think that people are just getting really excited about jQuery and are joining teams, which is a really natural thing to do.
Absolutely! I'm guilty of this myself and I really go to bat for jQuery every chance that I get because I believe wholeheartedly in the project & community. I just want everyone to do it professionally so we can get the word out without upsetting others.
