Currently I think it would help the most to just add the errorClass to the parent element. As long as each label/input combo has its own parent element, which is always the case in the non-trivial forms I've seens, you can style it however you like. You could even style the parent element, too.

What do you think about that? Do you need an explicit class on your label, or is the parent element good enough? Its much easier to implement and provides more flexibility.
