I have no experience with embedded media. You might want to check out:
http://jquery.com/plugins/project/media
Another thought would be for you to dynamically remove and add media
players when a change is needed. I don't know what you need to do to
stop and start them, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that they don't
react to simple changes in the DOM.
