I'm pulling my hair out - so any help on this would be much
appreciated.

I've been putting together a revamped website and would like to use
Thickbox to generate popup windows to display images. As Thickbox
needs the jQuery library I've downloaded the latest version and
declared it in the<head> of my first page. Now when I test the page
IE7 hangs for about 10 - 15 secs before displaying the page. I've
tried both the uncompressed and compressed versions - but as it's
being tested on my local machine it can't be a download issue.

I checked some websites that use Thickbox and jQuery and they also
hang, presumably at the execution of the library statement.

When I try it with Firefox (ie testing my website pages and the
external sites that also use jQuery) - there's no delay whatsoever.

I've tried it on 2 of my computers and both give same effect. Don't
know if it's a conflict somewhere or a problem with jscript.

I've trawled through all the jQuery forums, etc and can't find any
reference to this problem - so please help.

Thanks

Nick
