The below, while interesting leaves me wondering what the point is. by that, what does using jquery differ from just using normal map scripts?

Hi Pete,

Here are two links for you to look at:

http://projects.sevir.org/storage/jqmaps/index.html
http://olbertz.de/jquery/googlemap.html#

Hopefully they can help you out.

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a Google Maps like interface implemented using
JQuery?

The only real requirement is that a user can "zoom in/out". On zoom, a
new image is properly loaded in terms of zoom and user expected
location.

If not, could you point me to a couple functions within JQuery that
would be a good starting point for this type of project?

Cheers,
Pete
