I'm guessing maybe Karl had his cursor placed in a way that when
the context
menu appeared, pressing the [DOWN ARROW] was causing the browser to
scroll,
which caused the pointer to mouse over the objects--providing the
appearance
of a working keyboard event handler...
This is just a guess...
