Oops!

Mea culpa! next() and prev() gets only the very next/prev siblings.
Next iteration (now tested ;)):

$('#eventlist a.boldFont').nextAll('a:first').trigger('click');
$('#eventlist a.boldFont').prevAll('a:first').trigger('click');
