I'm trying to sketch out a concept for an application that is essentially a simple text editor or equation editor. A user will type or paste some text ( a calculation of sorts) into a text area.
Is there a way, perhaps using jquery, to display the line numbers along side the text or text-area? Is there a way to render the text area as an ordered list on the fly, while still allowing editing?
