The problem is the jquery.validate.pack.js file, I've tried using the
jquery.validate.js and that works fine, so there must be something in
the .pack version that ie6 doesn't like.

The debugger said it was expecting ; on line 2 which in the pack file
is the entire code!

I'll just go with the jquery.validate.js file as that works.
